Always be thankful for what you have. Have you ever wondered if someone else had the same life as you. Ever wondered if someone had more or less than you and how they handles it. Well in the story “Fly Away Home” by Eve Bunting and “Thank You Ma’am” by Langston Hughes they show how you should be thankful for what you have and how much you have. What shows this is that Andrew has to do work while he is at a young age and Roger tried to steal someone’s purse. Also Andrew can’t be a kid or it will get him noticed and kicked out, and Roger had no one at his house to take care of him. The first piece of evidence shows that Andrew has to work at the age 5-6 years old to make money. In the story it said he collects luggage carts for 50 cents each. That would stink to be working for money at such a young age. Also I bet you didn’t work at 5-6. On the other hand Roger tried to take her purse from Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones and run off for money. He was needing money so bad that he had to have the purse for money so he could get his blue suede shoes. I bet that if you were in need of some shoes someone would buy you some at some point.
