Starting from the character’s way, Odin and Othello are different in some ways due to the time different, but by and large they are similar. The resemblance between Odin and Othello is they all black and living under the watchful eye of others. Another similarity is they both have a high status in their own field. For example, Odin is the main force of the school basketball team and Othello is military general in Venice. Admittedly, they are different just because the historical background. For example, at the beginning of both works, Desdemona’s father Brabantio and Desi’s father were both strongly against the amour between Othello(Odin) and Desdemona(Desi). Desdemona is Othello’s wife and the daughter of Senator. Whether Desdemona or Desi, they both unswerving in Othello(Odin)’s loyalty, never change until the death approaching. For instance, they both could believed that their boyfriend Othello(Odin) started suspect they had affair. In addition, they cannot believe the truth that they killed by him and without regret because trust is broken. On the other hand, Desdemona and Desi both to have a kind heart. For example, whether in Othello or in O, they wanted to try their best to help their friend Cassion(Michael). They never thought they are some kind of special person in their life and school under their father’s glory. However, the different between Desdemona and Desi is their character strength. In the Middle Ages, the proposition of family is man is the king of the entire family. Desdemona is more as an understanding wife and always yield to her husband. Turn to modern, equality of men and women is the mainstream of society.
