Aladdin had the ring genie and the magician had the lamp genie. They fought by shapeshifting into different animals that are frightened by one another. Finally, the lamp genie defeated the ring genie, by trapping him in a mouse trap. Then Aladdin pretended to beg the magician for him to take pity. While he was groveling at his feet, Aladdin pickpocketed the lamp from the magician’s robe and the genie turned the magician into stone. Even though, both the story and the movie have a few big differences between each other, the story is clearly better than the movie, even though the movie added the genie fight at the end. If both the genie fight and the magician’s brother parts were compared, the magician’s brother’s part would succeed, considering it adds a lot more depth to the story.
