Why do you agree with the Navigation Act?
Under the Navigation Acts passed by the British Parliament, there was a series of 29 laws under which all goods being sent to America had to be first shipped to England where the ships had to pay heavy tax. To be precise, the Navigation Acts were a series of laws framed in a way to favor the English shipbuilding and restrict trade and commerce competition from England's commercial competitors, especially the Dutch. The Navigation Act played a prime role in regulating England’s overseas trade by protecting the English commerce from foreign competition. Moreover the ships that brought the goods, the captain of the ships and 3/4th of the crew on the ship had to be English. This created
