The first poem we all read together and went through it to understand was called “To a Mouse” which was a very good learning life lesson the way it was wrote. It was about a mouse that built a home under grass and man that was plowing ruined his home and the mouse went running for life. The man felt very bad that he did that so he wrote a poem to the mouse. The mouse was clearly going to build a new home. It’s well explained for life because a plow can hit anyone and make them start all over again. The point of the story is that life can be hard and knock you down but you should get upon your feet and keep going with life. …show more content…
Then the second poem we had read was called “To a Louse” and it also gave life lessons from the rich to the poor people.
It was about a rich lady that had a very big hat and she never would take it off. She acted like she was the top lady in church and was snobby rich. Until she sat in front of a man in church and he couldn’t see anything at all, she didn’t budge at all. He then realized that there was lice in her hair and in her hat surrounding it. For how rich she was, she didn’t take care of herself and have good hygiene. It was very surprising that they seen that in her hat. The moral of this story is not all rich people keep good hygiene, they use on other things they don’t

Now, both of these stories tie together because they are life lessons that happen to everyone. The author makes his writing simple but understandable. They were both about a certain problem that were life lessons. The moral of each of them made sense and tied together on the topic of the situation of what it was dealing with. They were both simple stories that Blake wrote. They were easy to read and understand because his writes in dialect with simple meanings to the story.
The stories that we read in class were both very good understandings of life. The one I can relate to most is “To a Mouse’. Only because in life the plow has came my way a few times and tore me down to the point where I had to build myself again. Many others can also relate to this story because not everyone has a easy life. The stories were fun to understand and see from a different point of view.
