Most dogs can be trained easily while others cannot, because all dogs have different personalities. However, large dogs can sometimes be a hand full to some people, while small dogs are much easier to handle. I have two small dogs and one large dog. Between my three dogs, they all have different personalities. Firstly, my large dog is a hand full compared to my small dogs. He can be very hardheaded at times and wants to play like a small dog. Every morning when I leave for school, I have to run to my car. He always meets me at the front door to chase me to my car to try jumping on me every morning. My small dogs just lays on the couch and pouts when I go to leave. Sometimes, the small dogs will bark at me when he and she sees me getting ready to leave. However, there is some kids whom is afraid of dogs. I don’t think anyone should be afraid of a well-trained dog. A well trained dog is usually calm around kids. Dogs know how to protect themselves and his or hers owners. Normally a dog knows right from wrong without training. From my three dogs, the large dog has only bit one person. However, the person he bit deserved it. This person was causing harm at my home and my dog sensed that. I totally agree with a dog that senses something is wrong and protects his or hers owner. In conclusion, large and small dogs are both great pets for anyone. Dogs can be great company, used for hunting, and protection. I think every kid should have at least one dog in his or hers life. Dogs can be great for kids, they can train kids while the kid trains him or her. Today, kids needs a dog to play with when he and she is in the yard. There is kidnappers every day and I believe a dog will protect a child from the kidnappers. Dogs are smart animals no matter he or she’s training

When I was looking on the computer for a nice-looking breed of dog to have for a pet, I immediately fell in love with the American Pit Bull Terrier. They are absolutely adorable. I went to pick up two puppies that same day. When I got there, I was a little hesitant to enter the house. There was about huge blue pit-bull who weighed about a hundred and twenty pounds staring right at me. They assured me that it was fine to come in and as soon as I did, the big blue ox jumped right up on my chest and started to lick me. That is when I knew I had to have one. They are intimidating to people who don't know much about them, but are loyal to their owners. I bought two of them and loved them to death. They were the perfect pets. They make excellent guard dogs and know who is supposed to be on your property and who is not. I think that the…

When choosing a dog, families should consider the temperament, physical size, and exercise needs of the breeds they are considering. Researching the characteristics of the dogs the families are considering is a great way to ensure the families ends up with a dog that will complement their family environment and lifestyle. Sadly, taking the time to truly research a dog before it is bought is something that very few owners practice. The deciding factor on which dog to buy comes down to the appearance of the dog without any thought given to the resources and time requirement for the specific dog. Buying a dog because it looks cute when it is a puppy could result in a headache later. The cute little puppy can turn into a large dog that needs to be walked a couple of hours a week or a dog that has a compulsive…

There are many ways in which people tend to abuse of animals. An example is neglect, meaning that between a pet and the owner there is a “failure to provide an animal with the most basic of requirements of food, water, shelter and veterinary care” (What). Dogfighting is another example. Dogfights are events when two dogs are put inside a fighting pit and are forced to fight until the other one is dead or is too weak to fight back. The fights are brutal and the owners abandon the loosing dogs with only a couple more hours to live because of its deadly injuries or inhumanly kill the dogs themselves. The winning dog owner gets a money price. Most of the dogs that are considered to not be good enough to be entered in the pit and be victorious are used as bait to train other dogs or as breeding dogs where they are constantly exploited. All of these actions that people inflict on the animals can make them become very scared of humans, other dogs and their surroundings causing them to be very…

Finally, the main difference in raising a puppy and an older dog is the older dog can be left on her own without being destructive whereas the puppy if left to her own devices goes crazy and into destruction mode. I know that it is the puppy’s curiosity that makes her that way, and her playfulness but it’s much easier to leave the older dog home alone than it is the puppy. To leave the puppy, I have to get the crate ready and put her in it and then hope when I come home that she isn’t covered in her own excrement.…

Any dog of any breed can be aggressive, it just depends on how the owner trains the dog to act in a certain situation. Pit bulls are great at listening and can learn new commands very quickly. If the dog is trained to act a certain way during a situation, they will do as they are taught. The dog’s environment around them can also determine the canines behavior and the way that they act in a certain situation. If a dog has been raised in a bad environment, people cannot expect the dog to interact with others appropriately. Dogs are not like humans and cannot tell the difference between right and…

Have you ever seen a dog be obedient to its owner? I have and in fact I have experienced it as well. Dogs are very obedient to their owners. One way dogs show that they are obedient is that they obey you when you give them a command. When you tell a cat to sit or lay down, they really never do what you tell them to do; they just do whatever they want. For the most part, dogs can almost understand what we tell them to do. Sometimes they won’t understand and do whatever. Whereas cats just do what they please, and they also choose to ignore us. Dogs are a whole lot better to teach than to teach a cat. Why? Dogs mostly do what you say instead of cats where they ignore you and do whatever.…
