For one is the small set. The amount of actors and stage space they had was a ton smaller than the movie productions. This is important because they had to have better acting and more crisp scene changes because it was being performed live. Another difference is the weapons they had. They used chains and knives to fight each other rather than a sword and gun like the other productions. The play is a minimalist production. They didn’t use a lot of extra props or buildings, they had the same backdrop the whole time and the outfits didn’t really change. Made earlier than the other two and produced with less technological equipment. The camera quality of this production was the worse. It wasn’t HD like the ‘96 and wasn’t performed live to see. It had the same age actors as the original. While the others had older actors instead of the correct age. This one was also filmed in Italy, where the original was made. They were also spot on when they used swords and knives as their weapons instead of guns and chain. This meant hand to hand combat was more prominent in this film. Another difference was that Romeo & Juliet were only seen by the nurse in the party. In the others Romeo & Juliet were seen by multiple people not just the nurse.
