LSI Survey result has shown that my Primary thinking style is more competitive. According to the results the raw score for the competitive style is 23 points and very high percentile score of 93. Even though I was surprised to some extent, I agree with that analysis. I have the habit of focusing more on winning than on performance excellence.…

Competition is where the strong will survive and where people will be the best that they can be. A competitive environment feeds into a person’s desire to always want to be the best against the best. This will allow for many new ideas and theories to be shared and created. Competition is what keeps a business alive and fresh because when a company because complacent they tend to become vulnerable and weak and then are easily surpassed or taken over by a competitor (Ryan May).…
Today’s world works on the same phenomenon. It is a ruthlessly competitive world with a plethora of insatiable people trying to outrun the person in front of them with whatever it takes. Today, as Vince Lombardi said “Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.”…
Competition should be encouraged in society because it allows us to progress and become more productive and efficient individuals. While some may disagree with it, competition will not stop. It is involved in every aspect of society and has helped us achieve things that were never thought possible. Competition motivates us and makes us strive for success. “These qualities have led American Society to greater societal achievements in productivity than found in less competitive societies”…
Competition in most cases is a good thing. Athletes often profit the most from competition because they are forced to give their all on every play. Even a world class athlete, if he has completion will be pushed further and will have to give in to his own agenda (laziness) to remain competitive. Competition in the market place is no different; it combats most company self-interests and instead provokes producers into wealth-creating activities.1 The competitive process I feel also provides an even stronger incentive for producers to operate efficiently and heed the views of consumers.…
Is it more important to be highly competent or highly competitive in order to be successful? The one and only way to success is being highly competent. The reason why it is more important to be highly competent than highly competitive is simple; you must know information and be well-informed about situations and problems. If you are competitive, that’s fine, but being highly competitive is not being educated. They are two different things. For example, if a highly competitive person goes against a competent person on solving a math equation, most likely the competent person will succeed.…
Furthermore, without competence in life, you have and are nothing. Intending that in attempt to be the best, you fail in the end. Someone will always be better in some category, and you may even be better than them in another. Competition also tends to brings out the worst in people, their desire to win overtakes their actions and thoughts, making is so they can care less to what happens to others as long as they are victorious. In dealing with competition the worst part about it is that there is usually a sore loser or sore winner. All this being said, competition takes the enjoyment out of something intended to be fun. Without fun in this world, this world holds no meaning, no desire to go on or to move forward. In other words without reason we are nothing, and will amount to nothing.…
Differences in ability is the one of the factors in which firms will be willing to pay higher wages to those with greater ability to do a job well based on their talent, intelligence, motivation and perseverance. Competitive intelligence essentially means understanding and learning what's happening in the world outside your business so one can be as competitive as possible. It means learning as much as possible—as soon as possible—about one's industry in general, one's competitors, or even one's county's particular zoning rules. Competency is sometimes thought of as being shown in action in a situation and context that might be different the next time a person has to act. In emergencies, competent people may react to a situation following behaviors they have previously found to succeed. To be competent a person would need to be able to interpret the situation in the context and to have a repertoire of possible actions to take and have trained in the possible actions in the repertoire, if this is relevant. Regardless of training, competency would grow through experience and the extent of an individual to learn and adapt.…
