Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan
Introduction
A short paragraph that states what this plan will entail. Give an overview/summary. This should be not shorter than 3 sentences-no longer than 7. Set your page layout to double spacing from the beginning.
Section One: Mission and Vision Statement
Your work from week 2 will go here. Revise any changes that were asked of you. All references will be combined at the end of the paper. Do NOT place references directly after this section however you should be citing in-text. Refer to the Benchmark rubric for help.
Section Two: Communications Plan
This section will include your plan for communicating with parents. This section should not include anything about integrating tools within the classroom. Think-how do I get information to parents, family, community etc . After I read this section in Module 3, edit it for you then you make revisions and put the updated version here. Again all references will go in alphabetical order at the end.
Section Three: Integrating Instructional Technology
This is where you will show off how you will use technology in the classroom for learning. You can offer specific examples as well as tools. Cite references for how successful these tools are. Cite references for what teachers like best and especially what students like to use in the classroom.
Section Four: Software to Support Assessment
If you do not have a teacher friend you should make one quickly. Ask a teacher what online sources or programs they use for assessing students. Refer to them in this section, tell why they will be used and offer how this will help you as well as students in the classroom setting. Remember….in all sections you should be able to go back to the mission and vision statement and what you are writing should be aligned and make

Mark Bauerlein notices “intellectual habits … slipping … each year” due to technological distractions (Source A). But thanks to the digital revolution, it’s now easier than ever to gather information, which has caused a lack of enthusiasm for intense research on a topic and gathering more information. Although this may be true in most cases, one can easily pursue a subject- it’s just a matter of desire. Sharon Begley states an issue on what’s meant by the “dumbest” and how there is no “empirical evidence” that technology impairs one’s thinking ability (Source B). There is nothing that identifies what “dumb” specifies, nor is there anything that undoubtedly confirms technology as a hindrance to one’s mental development. It’s only by one’s own will to venture out for knowledge and whether it’s used in an effective way.…

Technology has been around humans since the cavemen days, but it undoubtedly took a huge turn in with the completion of the first ever computer. It has been nearly eighty years since then, and we have evolved even more, creating virtual reality simulations and touch screen tablets, in addition, we have access to literally anything with the internet. However, there is a strong argument from previous generations that this generation is becoming “dumber” due to the easy access and overreliance on technology for education, leading us to wonder whether technology is truly benefiting or harming this generation’s intelligence. While the author Mark Bauerlain believes that the arrival of technology has affected the way millennials think, making them “dumber”, technology has rather provided for us a more approachable, time-saving, and broader range of knowledge…

However, doubts inevitably arise on the negative effects of the same technology. In his book titled The Dumbest Generation, Mark Bauerlein claims, “those under age thirty constitute the ‘dumbest’ generation in modern history.” He says that students are no less intelligent or ambitious, but that their reading habits and general knowledge are diminishing (167). He blames the digital age and its distractions…

Welcome to the Dumbest Generation Looking back on how technology has advanced over time there is no doubt that it has benefited recent years in many ways. But while technology has advanced knowledge has shrunk. Older generations complain how younger people are lacking in intelligence- and they are right. Technology has had a huge effect on people’s ability to learn, which has made this generation one of the dumbest. Without a doubt, technology has made kids less concentrated in school or in work related areas.…

Students are expected to be more perspicacious, and to many, the idea of technology downgrades a person’s intellect because it makes an objective easier to accumulate. Mark Bauerlein refers to younger people and states that “the intellectual habits that complement them are slipping” (Source 1). This is untrue because although the younger generation is more technologically advanced, this is not a element that downgrades their intelligence. They can use this component to their own benefit as for example, when trying to find the definition of a word, or needing to find a formula, one could search it up online instead of searching through a book which can be exceedingly time consuming. Such constituents are a helpful benefit that does not bring down one’s intelligence or makes a person “dumber” but helps with making a project easier which in all leads to the same…

Today the mood and the technology as well as the costs in our classrooms have changed. Many of our schools in the U.S. plan the technology into budgets and are requiring teachers to learn how to use it. In my 5th grade classroom I would like to have the latest that technology has to offer. It used to be that technology was a luxury in a classroom, but now it is becoming more and more of a necessity these days. Being that 5th graders are about to reach middle school, I would like to educate my students so that they are prepared to do the best research and presentations using the latest technology.…
