Computer Based Information System Case Study
Computer development is often referred to the different generations of computing devices. With each generation which includes the first to the fifth, significant changes have occurred resulting in lighter, cheaper, powerful, more efficient and convenient devices. This change in computing devices has caused businesses to rethink and revamp the ways they operate to meet consumer demands, reduce cost and compete efficiently. This paper will also examine computer- based information system and the impact on a commerce industry in Jamaica.

With a computer based information system CliqJa is able to facilitate training exercises which help to avoid the loss of productivity; computer technology provides continual training opportunities through workshops for its members through the use of mobile and computer devices.
The reliability, competitive and efficient advantages of computer base information system in this commerce industry relates to customers being able to provide a clear understanding of the product line and its accessibilities. The Product is always ready for sale with fast internet speed. However as technology improves, the negative impact of computer base information system are significant on the labour force. A computer based information system is able to carry out task within CliqJa that were formally performed by human employees.
As time moves on the use of a computer based information system will continue to have a positive impact on CliqJa where it will now allow employees to work from home, which is great because a person can work from home without having the hassle of
