Auschwitz and other concentration camps were death camps built to kill and torture an entire race. The difference between these camps is a matter of torture and containment. Concentration and internment camps may seem very different, but they still had some things in common. They both put an entire group of people through mistreatment they never deserved. Even though concentration camps make camps like Manzanar look like paradise, they were both unacceptable.
In the real world, people discriminate each other; either it is the gender, the race, the family people were from or the color of their skin. Auschwitz was full of Jews that was discriminate for the religion of Judaism and some different people like Gypsies. Manzanar was full of Japanese that was discriminated for their race. In “Farewell to Manzanar” and “Night” they were discrimination towards the race and gender. In Auschwitz the Jews got treated worse than the other Germans. They were discriminated because of their religion. The elderly and children got killed because they were not strong like the healthy people. The Jewish people are not allowed to play German music. Auschwitz the Jew were getting treated like animals for examples all the guards were throwing them bread and laughing as the Jew fought over the ration of bread (Night). The Japanese were only given one outfit for the time they got there to the time that they got let out (Farewell to Manzanar). All the Jews would have to wear their yellow stars that said Jude that said Jew in english. When the got to Auschwitz they lost all of theirs belonging and got separated from their families. The clothes the Jews got were very thin cloth. They had to wear prisoner like outfits they have a couple pairs of them in case they needed to change. The Jews had to get numbers on their arm and got rid of their name
