Rice was the only child her parents had born November 14, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama. She learned so much at an early age such as learning to speak French and playing the piano. By her studying about her roots she found out her ancestors was a part of the Civil war. Rice enjoyed skating, not only that she entered Denver at age 16 on becoming a pianist.
In 2001-2004 Condoleezza served as the Nation’s Security Advisor. Advising President Bush she was known to have a strong impact on doing so. From 2005-2009 she was the first African American woman to serve Secretary of State and she made history. Also Rice was the first African American to hold post head on the NSA.
In order for Rice to achieve success she had to overcome many obstacles. Maybe one of her obstacles was being an African American. We all know racism played a big role back in the days. Not only her being a African American, she was a young female. They didn’t let many females take as many jobs as the men back then.
As I can see Rice was focused on her goals and not trying to let anyone or anything bring her down. She witnesses so much dealing with racism and prejudice. By her witnessing the things she witnessed she use that as a motivation to become more in life and push her career further. I also admire Rice because all the things she went through she didn’t let it stop her from setting high goals for her.
