The question arising here is, should we conform to them? If we were to do so, how would it
affect individuals and our society? Most of these actions are very old fashioned and carry back
to older times. Due to that fact, we should be expected to conform to them and act in that
manner.
With the time we live in today too many people of all ages are lacking manners and a sense
of how they should treat others. Although, it is considered cool to disrespect basically everyone

“Social Responsibility can be “negative,” in that is a responsibility to refrain from
acting” (Naomi Enevoldson).This is not acceptable and is far from cool. We have almost lost our
morals as a society, and that is terrifying.
Another argument in favor of why we should conform is the fact that it is just proper to act
with manners. While this seems like we are asking too much, in the long run it helps create

They are simple and should come naturally, almost like
common sense. Plus they just make you look like a better person when you have manners and a
sense of how you should act in social situations.
Lastly, we all care greatly about how we are viewed by everyone around us. We are a very
soft group of people that crumble over the lightest judgements. If we all acted as we should
being respectful to others, listening to everyone, and doing simple things to help others, then no
one would have room for judgement. Older days were so simple and flowed so well and I feel as
if this had to do with the fact that everyone did what was expected of them. If we all want to fix
the world we live in, we all simply just need to start conforming to our social responsibilities.
