Consequences Of Love In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet
In the time of Romeo & Juliet people were expected to marry someone of their caste for power instead of love. Both Romeo and Juliet go against what was expected and decided to fall in love. By doing this both Romeo and Juliet believed that what they feel outweighs the consequences.
The Capulets and Montagues hate each other from a disagreement their ancestors had. No one from either house remembers why they hate each other but the houses still fight. Prince Escalus told both houses not to quarrel but servants brawl in the streets only leading to more fighting between the houses.

Trough the help of the Capulets nurse and the priest Romeo and Juliet get married even thought it is done in secret. After Romeo and Juliet's marriage Tybalt insults Romeo trying to provoke a fight. Romeo now Tybalt's in-law tries to turn down the fight instead Mercutio says he will fight in Romeo's place."O calm dishonourable, vile submission!/

Tybalt, you ratcatcher, will you walk?" (act 3, scene 1, 44-46) Romeo tries to break up the fight leading to Mercutio getting stabbed and killed. Furious Romeo and Tybalt brawl leading to Tybalt getting killed. Romeo gets exiled.

Immediately we do exile him hence" (act 3, scene 1, 48-49)
Juliet is distraught hearing her cousin been killed and husbanded exiled. The Capulets thinking Juliet's sadness comes from her cousin being killed promise to kill Romeo only making Juliet more upset. Frair gives her a drink to induce sleeping making everyone think she is dead so she won’t have to marry Paris. Balthasar Romeo's servant see's Juliet's funeral and tells Romeo. Romeo and Paris run into each other at Juliet’s tomb, Paris knowing Romeo is exiled tries to fight Romeo, Romeo not wanting anyone to get in the way to see Juliet kills his fights and kills his attacker Romeo deciding he loves Juliet so much that he can't live without her kills himself.
