“Romeo and Juliet” demonstrate that love affects people’s emotions more than pride. This is shown when Romeo and Juliet get married the day after the met each other. Lord Capulet is too hard on Juliet and her love for Romeo. Even though he is banned from Verona that doesn't mean Juliet has to marry someone else. He doesn't understand that Juliet can make her own decision. He tries to tell Juliet that he will disown her if she doesn't marry Paris.
