Our government and society has changed because of the amendments to the united states constitution. The two amendments that mainly has an affect on our government and society would be the 2nd and the 4th amendments. The second amendment is that you have the right to bear arms. The fourth amendment protects against unreasonable search and seizures. These amendments are important because they are still changing till this day. The second amendment was made in the constitutional convention in the summer of 1787. There are many reason why the second amendment came to be. One reason the second amendment came to be would be because of the battle of Lexington and Concord when the patriots went to go get guns for the militias. The main reason why the second amendment was made was because the Americans were afraid of British coming back for the Americans can be ready. The second amendment allows people to be armed at all time. The second amendment is changing our society in many different way to this day it is still changing our society. Our society has changed by the second amendment by letting legally blind to carry around armed guns so they can be using their constitutional rights. It prevents the federal government from banning private ownership of firearms by legal, law-abiding citizens. It also gives power of the central government to seize. That is how the second amendment has changed our society and government. The fourth amendment was made in the constitutional convention in the summer of 1787. There are many reason why the fourth amendment came to be. The main reason why the fourth amendment came to be would be because of the Townshend act. The Townshend act was a law that allowed British officials to seize private property and enter homes without search warrants.     The Fourth Amendment is part of the Bill of Rights which was established in the seventeenth and eighteenth century English common law. Aside from the rest of the amendments in the Bill of Rights the Fourth Amendment can be traced back to a strong public reaction from some cases back in the 1760s.
