Continuous Improvement. Many organizations focus on continuous improvement processes to aid efficiency improvement, reduce waste, and/or maximize profits. In your posting, discuss three of the continuous improvement foci areas you have experienced in your job or organization and discuss the effectiveness (or benefits) of such initiatives. Decide what change management issues are present that limit the organization’s efforts in continuous improvement. What are the forces driving the initiative? What practices could be improved? What should be abandoned? Respond to at least two of your fellow classmates’ postings.…
Week two gave us an inside look on what the six steps are during the planning process. These steps are situational analysis, alternative goals and plans, goal and plan evaluation, goal and plan selection, implementation, and finally monitor and control. The step that Tina, Joanne, and Chris thought was most important in the planning process was the role of setting up alternative goals and plans. They believe it is always a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the original plan did not achieve the intended goal. We all were able to agree that having a backup plan was a great way of running a business.…
The planning process begins with a situation analysis of the external and internal forces affecting the organization. This examination helps identify and diagnose issues and problems and may bring to the surface alternative goals and plans for the firm. Next, the advantages and disadvantages of these goals and plans should be evaluated against one another. Once a set of goals and a plan have been selected, implementation involves communicating the plan to employees, allocating resources, and making certain that other systems such as rewards and budgets are supporting the plan. Finally, planning requires instituting control systems to monitor progress toward the goals.…

I believe Classroom Management is the key component in any educational setting. I believe that if students are in a safe environment, then learning can take place. This doesn’t necessarily mean punishing behavior problems but rather a combination of setting the tone in a class, preventing behavior problems with interesting and engaging curriculums and effectively including all students in the classroom so that their needs are met. Having the right environment for all students to learn is my major goal of implementing good classroom management--without it the students would not be able to learn.…

As an educator I am always cognitive of the fact that children really do thrive in a structured environment. If classrooms are not well organized then very little learning will occur. Therefore, I must always put my best foot forward in being prepared so that students are gifted with the best learning experience possible. I believe that my purpose is not only to inspire students to learn, but keep them interested in learning by: implementing a classroom management plan that support student’s time, space and materials.…
