Copying Beethoven is a film about the famous composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. In fact, Beethoven was tormented by dephness and loneliness. He helped Anna Holtz, which is his copyist, by teaching her music and mostly the freedom of music. I quote a passage in the movie where Beethoven says: “the note doesn’t end, it flows”. This passage proves his freedom for music and by not living on rules. Anna Holtz is a young female and aspiring composer. She is sent to be his copyist however because of her sexual orientation, is always mixed up for a serving young lady, house keeper, and even a prostitute. Anna Holtz was so touched that she went back to her aunt but Beethoven begged her pardon, and promised her to help her further more with the composition. She then sustained herself not just as a copyist, but as a companion as well; moreover, she is an influential person beneficiary to the extent of his concern. Beethoven increases much reverence of her after she helps him during his symphony in which he taught he could not do it alone. Covered up among his artists, as he at the same time duplicates her movements to coordinate that symphony (9th), what might end up one of his last exhibition. Beethoven’s Fugue was the last music played in the movie and was not appreciated at all at that time.
