A challenge in someone’s life can be something as little as having to defend your point of view to something as major like having to re-evaluate your understanding of something. In Cosi a play by Louis Nowra various characters are faced with challenges and throughout the play some characters rise to the challenges put before them and overcome them, others fail. Using that concept Louis Nowra hopes to communicate the challenges that people must undergo in their life. Louis Nowra uses Henry to communicate the challenges that are faced to people when having to defend their point of view also he is the representation of war due to the fact that his father fought in the war. Using Henry to communicate that idea is an ideal choice because Henry has to defend his father’s memory when being confronted with the idea of supporting the enemy. His saying
