Country Folk Music Analysis

Genres are different depending or countries, culture, and tradition. When I feel depressed or excited, I listen to music which matches my feeling. I joined the English Club; members of the club introduced different kinds of music and described them. Genres that I often listen to are rock, country folk, and R&B/Soul. Rock music is a popular music which uses an electric guitar. Rock usually makes people excited with hard sounds. Everybody knows that The Beatles were a famous rock band in the United Kingdom. The Beatles' song "Day Tripper" is one of their songs that I love. The main guitar riff of the song seems to take me to a vacation spot. When I listen to the song, I feel like I took a train and watched out the window on a rainy day. Two songs of The Beatles', "From Me to You" and "She Loves You," mention love. Sound of harmonica of "From Me to You" gives pleased feeling. However, "She Loves You" is fast and cheerful, so the song makes people dance. Ray Charles, Bill Withers, and Little Richard are typical musicians of the genre. Above all things, my mother always enjoyed listening to Bill Withers' songs, so I also listened to his songs. "Ain't No Sunshine," in particular, was easy to understand for me. The song makes me think about being at a quiet bar or restaurant at night and describes a girl who disappeared. Also, "Just the Two of Us" and "I Want to Spend the Night" are different emotions, but both songs describe love. "Just the Two of Us," Bill Withers' clear voice and a girl's voice in the chorus part from the song. In contrast, "I Want to Spend the Night" feels slow and smooth; the piano sound mentions that I lie on the bed at midnight. Maybe I listened to the songs as a young man; therefore, I liked the songs
