Misericordia Community Hospital. According to the website casebriefs.com,”this case was on a guy that was named James Johnson who had a hip surgery done at Misericordia Community Hospital, and during the surgery Dr. Salinsky punctured the femoral nerve and artery resulted in partial paralysis.” I think that the main question to really ask about this case was did the doctor who did the surgery actually have the skills to do a hip surgery? Also, it was said on the website that Dr. Salinsky had altered his application records and was hired at this hospital (Case Briefts pg.1). I think another question to ask is how did the hospital not recognize that his application record was changed when he applied? I think that if the hospital actually looked at his application then maybe this patient could have been saved from being partially paralyzed now. The guy then sued Misericordia Community Hospital. The outcome of this court case was that the Dr.Salinsky was thoughtlessness in the way they he performed the surgery and the hospital was thoughtlessness for not looking at Dr. Salinsky’s skills to perform surgeries (Justia US Law pg.1). The biggest problem about this case was that Misericordia did not go over Dr.Salinsky file to see if he could actually perform orthopedic practices. I think that the person that is at fault for Dr. Salinsky being able to perform orthopedic practices was the administrator of the
