In the Judeo- Christian myths however, God creates the world and its beings for each other; the first three days he
creates and separates, and the following he creates and populates. This type of creation proposes that God is living and giving, and the world is harmonious and life sustaining. He creates human beings in his own image. God gave humanity dominion over the Earth. Since humans are created in God’s image, they were made to love and care for everyone and everything. The world according to the Judeo- Christian myths are meant to be simple and harmonious. On the other hand, in Enuma Elish, Marduk only thought about creating humanity when he needed workers build and city and a temple. Therefore, humanity is only meant to serve higher powers.
In general, it can be said that in the Judeo- Christian myths, the focus is humanity, the world was created for humanity and human beings are made in the image of God. In Enuma Elish, it is believed that the world is a power struggle and those who are most powerful win. The Enuma Elish idea of God is someone self- interested who can be overcome. Judeo- Christian myths offer more hope. God is loving, caring, and benevolent, so even if someone if in a difficult situation, he has a God to look to, who will certainly care for and love him.
