Creationism Vs Evolution Research Paper
Creationism is believing that a superior being called, God, created Earth and all of the living creatures we have, such as: humans, animals, birds, and plants. Creationists believe that this God created it using only his words and creating humans with his own hands and breathe of life. Evidence found for creationism has been discredited throughout the years by ‘simple’, evolutionary explanations, but neither evolutionists or creationist have the closest thing to a proof. The first evidence for creation is the fact that there is very little sediment, or mud, on the sea floor. According to many evolutionist the ocean has been around for three billion years. On the other hand creationists think it has only been here for about 3,000. Every year …show more content…

If the statement of evolutionary anthropologists, that humans have been around for 185,000 before agriculture began which is a total of, 200,000, is true then we should have about eight billion stone age skeletons. So far anthropologists have only found thousands. That means that the Stone Age must have been smaller than evolutionists think.

The third evidence we have for an early creation is that there is too much helium in radioactive rocks. Helium is found in uranium and thorium during their radioactive decay. This helium quickly leaks out into our environment.. Helium leaks out faster if it is found in very hot situations, that means the deeper the rocks are in the earth the less helium they should have. Actually, helium diffuses so fast it should have been gone in 100,000. Geologists in New Mexico found more helium in rocks that were 197 ℃ than they had

The magnetic field surrounds the earth and protects us from solar radiation. If the magnetic field was not their life would not exist on earth. The magnetic field has been deteriorating, there has been record of this since 1845. The magnetic field has been deteriorating 5% a century. If the magnetic field came into place millions and billions of years ago, we would not have a magnetic field and we would not be alive. For the magnetic field to be here today and with the same deterioration process the same the magnetic field could be no more than 20,000 years old.

Our last evidence is that the amount of sodium in the ocean is very low. Every year rivers, glaciers, and volcanic dust dump 458 milllion tons of sodium and not even half, but only 27% get’s back out of the ocean. If this earth has been around for a long period of time our oceans would be much saltier than they are now. The ocean seems to be much younger than stated otherwise by evolutionsits, but neither do creationists have solid proof on the ocean’s correct

Europeans had been digging up strange-looking bones along lakebeds and riverbanks for hundreds of years before the 18th century (Strauss). Many of the finds confused the Europeans since they could not wrap their heads around where the bones were coming from. The intact skeleton of the marine reptile, Mosasaurus, was incredibly important as naturalist Georges Cuvier identified it as belonging to an extinct species (Strauss). From this point on, rational scientists realized they were dealing with creatures that lived and died millions of years before humans appeared on earth (Strauss). This lead to many scientists trying to answer questions about these ancient creatures, especially when they actually lived. Even still, less open-minded people stuck to a strict creationist viewpoint. Although there have been many fossil finds that would contradict what the Bible says about when they lived, God has already answered the questions for us with His word directly.…

Geologist Charles Lyell (1797-1875) wrote Principles of Geology (1830), Darwin read this book while on the ship. It portrayed a world that was full of new species and extinction that challenged the concept of an earth that is only a few thousand years old and the idea that species are fixed in time. Lyell’s work did not prove that the earth was old, but it presented compelling evidence that is had to be older than 6000 years. The actual age of the earth is 4.5 billion years.…

In Genesis 1:1 it talks about God creating the earth. There is not only evidence all around us of the beautiful things that God has created, but there is scriptural evidence as well. Romans relates to the natural world with a biblical worldview, as well. Romans 1:20 states, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” God has made himself known by the splendor of creation. There is no reason or excuse that one would not believe that God is the creator if the Natural world.…

Experiences, circumstances and values shape the way we think, and give us a foundation for what will become our “worldview.” In order to make a decision on what these beliefs are, we can make judgments based on both faith and scientific knowledge. The origin of Progressive Creationism brings lessons from the Bible into balance with evidence from contemporary science. Progressive Creationism makes room for explanations to scientific findings by interpreting a much longer time frame for creation, but it does not negate an God as being present at every stage, and responsible for the miracles of the creation of life. Influences that have led me to consider this position come from family, church, science classes, and my own personal interpretation…

“There are none who are as deaf as those who do not want to hear,” Barry Leventhal once said this quote (Geisler and Turek). There are so many different creation theories that people have been talking about them for centuries, none have been one hundred percent proven but all are debatable. The problem with most professionals who study creation theories is they are very stubborn. Once somebody has a plausible theory in their head they do not listen to any other theories. This quote by Barry Leventhal perfectly describes this characteristic of the professionals mentioned earlier. They are “deaf” because they refused to hear what others had to say. Many documents were written by these “deaf” professionals about their adopted theory; they…

These one-celled organisms helped to make the air and water around the Earth full of oxygen, forming new life. Next, photosynthetic organisms became part of Earth by using carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and releasing oxygen. The last life form to develop in this era were simple soft bodied animals, since soft bodies do not have vertebrates there are not many fossils as evidence from this era. Scientists know that one-celled organisms, photosynthetic organisms, and soft bodied animals were the first species on earth by the following information, “The amount of C-14 in any sample of carbon containing material can be found by measuring the level of radioactive decay, and comparing that with the decay rate observed in a carbon sample exposed to the continual mixing at the surface of the earth of C-12 and C-14 produced in the upper atmosphere. Using the ratio of C-14 to total carbon, one can determine the age of the sample.” As a culmination, carbon dating, examining index fossils, and using relative dating reveal to scientists the milestone of the first organisms in the Precambrian…

Creationism is commonly recognised as a religion that does not regard the big bang theory or evolution to be true. Creationists are a group of, often evangelical Christians, who have a literal belief in the creation stories of the bible; it teaches that everything in the universes ultimate cause is God. Although it is important to note that there is not just one type of creationist and not just one single belief that is creationism. There are many varieties including progressive creationists, who make a link with bible accounts and the big bang theory, and day age creationists who believe in the Genesis account of creation however state that each of the 6 days of creation in the bible was actually a period of millions of years.…

According to The Oxford Dictionary, creationism is defined as the belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution. The Oxford Dictionary also defines intelligent design as the theory that life, or the universe, cannot have arisen by chance and was designed and created by some intelligent entity. Tension between scientists and theologians arose in the 18th century, when it became obvious to most researchers that geological processes were exceedingly slow, and must have been accomplished over incredibly long periods of time. These…

Creation is the “act of producing or the cause to exist” (Dictionary, 2012, pg.1). How the world is created is the big mystery that surrounds the minds of science. Cultures around the world each have interpretations on how the world was created. Creation myths show what represents the sky, earth, and underworld. These myths tell whether the creators where male or female and the significance of the gender. The myths describe what was created and the steps of creation. Creation myths tell of any destroyers or destruction. Different creation myths tell of cosmic occurrences or natural phenomena that occurred. Each creation myth has similarities and difference in their creators, creations, the steps of creation, and the cosmic elements.…

Water is wet, the sun is bright, and people age - there are some facts that every human being can agree on, so why then are we so split over whether we were brought into this world through evolution or by an almighty creator? How exactly did our species come into existence? To me, the answer is obvious. Through proof of historical evidence, impossible odds and mathematical improbabilities, archaeological discoveries, proven predictions, inexplicable complexities, etcetera, I can safely conclude that creationism is the solution to the question that has plagued humanity for generations.…
