1. Using terms from the text, how would you describe Devon’s leadership style? How would you describe Isabella’s leadership style? * Devon is trying to initiate structure, his a directive, transactional, and a contemporary leader. This type of leaders guide and motivate their follower in the direction of established goals by clarifying roles and task requirements. They believe in contingent reward and management by exception. * Isabella on the other hand is a production oriented leader, achievement oriented, a charismatic (ego driver) and a transformational leader. This type of leaders have visions, they have long term strategy to attain goal, expect high performance expectations and confidence in follower ability, they are value-centered, and inspirational. They inspire followers to transcend their own self-interest for the good of the organization.
2. Whose leadership style do you believe would be more effective, Isabella’s or Devon? Why? What if any situational factors might their effectiveness depend on? * I believe that Isabella’s approach is more effective. She can make the employees drive for success. She can make them see the company not only as a job, but something that they own and want it to prosper. This will help the company to be one of the most productive and competitive company out in the market. * If I wanted my company to be more stable and to motivate my employers to do good in their own job and exceed expectations and slowly progress from there, then Devon’s leadership style would be more

They relied on Elena for the management, and sometimes showed up just to greet her. However, Elena’s management style is quite different from Sam and Jose; she is a nervous person, who does the work but is not a great leader. A person in her position must have management and leadership skills. She is also disrespected by her employees, and is ignored when she tells them to do things.…

Living in the city is hard, especially for those who were born in the country or subberbs. in the city there crowded streets, huge supermarkets, crammed subways and polluting factories. I was born in delaware then i moved to the suburbs of virginia, so I don't know first thing about heavy traffic, however, i had lived in seoul the capitol of korea. I loved seoul, but sometimes it becomes too much, and I just have to escape from the noise to free my mind from all the routine worries, to clear my thoughts and remind myself that despite how difficult and challenging life can get. i think everyone would need a break from the crazy pace of living in a huge city. however I ask myself where the best place to do this or how where is the nearest super market, did not have to think for more than a second. My favorite spot in seoul was the mountain we lived close to, with its long dirt trails that I really enjoyed walking up, passing jungles of trees and bushes and overgrown bushes that they make you believe you have escaped the city completely and are somewhere in the middle of a real rich forest. I love to clim up to the top and look down at the city. on one side was the city, and on the other was this valley, it reminded me views of the Scottish hills you can sometimes see in the movies, with white, puffy dots of sheep, and lonely, chunky trees. there was this river that ran down the mountain, it was all ways freezing cold and during the one fall i spent there me and my friends and gone miniature cliff diving. the water was cold and clear and felt great against my skin, the only down side the the cutting…

I was watching a new episode of White Collar an interesting, yet overly dramatic crime show and I distinctively remember four commercials. The first one was for some fancy restaurant that showed a nice juicy steak with a ton of appetizing food on the table. The next commercial, ironically, was for some gym that showed a man that had muscles in places I frankly didn’t know could gain muscle, the man was outrageously big. The next commercial was for another show by the same channel that was also a crime oriented show. And the last commercial I remember was of the FBI agent in the show driving a nice brand new BMW. I am positive that these commercials were intended for a male audience that was probably over the age of 24-25 and that had a decent amount of income. I say this because most college students don’t regularly go out to fancy restaurants like the one in the commercial, and we don’t pay for an up class gym when we have a perfectly fine gym for free at school. And the beamer? Well, maybe someday I’ll have one, but not at this time or age.…
