Creative Writing: Six Foot Hunting Blind
“Crack.” My heart's pounding like a jackhammer on concrete. I press the lever. “Click.” The barrel drops open and the shell ejects, all I can smell is sulfur in the the air I get up and stretch after sitting for hours and hours. I get climb down the ladder I nearly slip off the ladder but I catch myself, I truck through the deep mud to get where my deer was standing I glanced all around scanning the ground but I can't seem to find any blood where my deer was. Chris yells “did you hit anything” I yell back “I don't know I can't find any blood”. As we search for blood all i could see was a little skid mark about six inches long and three inches where the bullet could have hit the ground but it could have been the deer digging into the earth as well.I clamber back into the six foot hunting blind that chris’s dad had built before i was even born. …show more content…
