Criminal Justice has been a career option of mine for a year. I have come to the concussion that I would like to spend the bulk of my life rehabilitating criminal’s. Parole officers evaluate offenders to determine the best course of rehabilitation. They also provide offenders with resources such as job training assistance in getting a home if necessary. Becoming a parole officer will allow me to do so. In order to pursue a career as a parole officer there are some steps that I will have to take. I must first get the education that is required to work in this field. In order to become a parole officer, I must have a least a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, or social work. Here at Bryant and Stratton, the criminal justice program is sixteen months long. My goal is to complete this program in as less time as possible. That is if I am in a position to do so. Bryant and Stratton are costing me $9,255.25 for my first semester. Next semester they are charging me $7,740.00. This is because I am deciding to take evening classes which are cheaper than day classes. My Final semester, Bryant and Stratton are charging another $7,740.00. Under the circumstance that I was to complete this program in the sixteen months, they would all together charge me $24,752.25. Financial Aid covers most of the cost of my tuition; however, I will have to take out loans. Federal Direct subsidized loans is lending me 1,732.00 each semester which would add up to $5,196 total. Federal Direct unsubsidized loans are lending me $2,968.00 each semester which will ultimately add up to $8,904.00. Those amounts are together added up to $14,100.00. This covers is just the loan amounts for pursuing an education at Bryant and Stratton. This is the school that I have attended since high school, so I have accrued up loans outside of this school. My entire amounts in loans are $26,500.00. If I were to enroll in the ten-year standard payment plan I would pay a fixed amount each month until my loans
