On the following paragraph I am explaining the important of a Marine NCO and the role they play on the battle field. Truth out the history of the Marine Corps, The NCO always plays a key role in the military. There are the people that trained, guide, lead the junior Marines in all task or mission. They’re the ones that execute and supervise all tasks on the missions while maintaining control and discipline on the troops. Without the Marine NCO the main body of the Marine Corps will be in disarray and the officers will have a hard time running the operations.…

Even with that fateful word carved into the tree, White had a map which contained a marking on a location which theoretically would have been a reasonable place for the settlers to move to (Pruitt 3). Specifically assumed is that the colony went to the tribe Croatoan, the same name they carved, intermarried and gradually moved inland to later be known as the Lumbee tribe (Steiger 1). Upon investigation by White he found that they had not gone to the Croatoan’s either. Possibly they just moved inland, by themselves, and were taken in by a friendly tribe (Vanished Into Thin Air 1; What Happened to the “Lost Colony” of Roanoke? 2). Even in the beginning the colonists were able to make good relations with the Natives, so it would not come as a surprise that they were able to merge with a tribe (The Roanoke Disasters 1). In which “would explain why no evidence of a massacre was found” (Vanished Into Thin Air 2). After all, with the given evidence and a persons ability to evaluate said evidence, it comes as no surprise why this theory is one that most believe above the…

He was forced to stay in Europe for 3 YEARS! Finally he sailed back to Roanoke with supplies, but when he got there he didn't see any evidence of the colonies existence! Not one nail scrap or bead was left. John White spent the next 5 years searching the island for his family. He only found 3 clues which were a neatly piled skeleton, the word KRO carved into a tree, and the word Croatoan carved into a fence. The only explanation that makes sense is that the native Americans from the nearby tribe Algonquians were "determined to resist the English who were settling on their land" (All Colonist were killed by Indians) and they wanted to fight back also because the original 100 settlers burned the natives crop fields! After killing the settlers, the indians would have had plenty of time to loot all of the villages supplies. This explanation explains that "there were colonist friendly natives called the croatoans which explains the word carved into the fence." (All colonist were killed by Indians) and the letters KRO carved into the tree. "The Croatoans went to war around the time the settlers came" and you can tell that the pile of bones was a warning to either the Croatoans or the Algonquians to stay away. Overall The theory that The settlers were killed by Indians is the best…

Within the town of Shrewsbury, I believe that us citizens, should not celebrate Columbus Day. Many misconceptions surrounding the man and the holiday, cause us to believe that this man not only discovered America, but that he was also very peaceful when he arrived in the Caribbean. Although, this is not true, many facts help support that Christopher Columbus, in fact did not discover the continent that we live on today. As a child, many kids are taught that Christopher Columbus founded this land, and that "Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492", however, many facts about this man are left out. These facts are important to the case that I am presenting, on why we should not celebrate the day honoring this man. Several ideas support this case include topics surrounding his expedition and what he did when he arrived on land. After reading this essay and the following paragraphs I assure you, that an agreement will be made to the following arguments I will present.…
