The new curriculum ignored pragmatics, phonology, and real syntax. In the new curriculum, communication with world based on our culture means ignoring pragmatics in western culture. However, knowledge of vocabulary cannot be restricted to its meaning. Learners need to know the correct pronunciation, parts of speech, and the proper contexts to use vocabularies.

Not all needs. For example in Prospect 3 there is a lesson on Travelling and a conversation for getting a room in a hotel. But a 14 years old teen cannot get a room in a hotel based on the law. A student travel is “school field trip” and communication about it can fulfill his/her need.
The occurrence of “not” expresses speaker’s attitude. It represented that some of needs were completed while the remaining were ignored. The statements emphasized that some of students’ needs such as listening, role-play, and multimedia learning had been considered.
