The main goals of Anti-Bias Curriculum is to allow a child to stand up for themselves when faced with bias behaviors, be able to be comfortable with people from different backgrounds, and be comfortable with themselves and have a sense of identity (Bisson-Hohensee). In order for an Anti-Bias curriculum to exist, there has to be some steps that take place. First, the teacher must look at themselves and the students they will be around every day. They must decide how they are to address certain aspects such as holidays, race, and gender specific activities (Bisson-Hohensee). The second step involves the teacher having to think about different activities they can incorporate into the curriculum that are about diversity and equality. There is also a section that involves the involvement of the parents in the curriculum. The teacher can put an emphasis on how being different makes everyone special. Everything from then on, becomes a teaching experience, anything that has to do with change or originality becomes in some way a new topic to teach on
