The speech I have decided to write about would be the speech of demonstration. I have decided to talk about a demonstrative speech about cutting cucumbers because my husband is all about safety. When I got married there are certain things my husband taught me and being as though that he is couple years my senior, I usually decide to listen to his expertise. The reason why I chose to write about this category is because for many years I used to cut my vegetables a certain way, up until I got married. When he was demonstrating to me about cutting cucumbers he used a plate rather than a bowl and I realized how it would be perfect to discuss …show more content…
the speech of demonstration. “Show and tell” is usually much more effective than just telling (Osborn, 2015, p. 288) I have a tendency of using either a bowl or a plate.
He has a green thumb. So these cucumbers are definitely not store bought, but garden picked the very day. My husband as he demonstrated cutting the cucumbers, told me as he was cutting the cucumber demonstrated using a sharp blade rather than a butter knife. My husband as he was demonstrating to me while he was holding on of the cucumber long ways, he was cutting the cucumber easily from the tip to the other end of the cucumber. I knew we could simply use a vegetable peeler, but we had to use what we had in the kitchen. As he demonstrated to me, I realized how it was similar to shaving my legs. When he demonstrated to me his tone was not cocky, but very informative.
Your purpose is to not convince them to change their minds or behavior but to offer a balanced presentation of relevant information so that they can more responsibly reach their own conclusions. By sharing information, an informative speech reduces ignorance

I did not find any aspect of the speech to be least
appealing.
