All practitioners should be striving to achieve the five outcomes of the Every Child Matters framework:
Be healthy
Stay safe
Enjoy and achieve
Make a positive contribution
Achieve economic wellbeing
Every local authority has a duty to ensure that all children and young people in their care achieve the five positive outcomes and that there is good communication between the different services helping to look after children. This is achieved through the Children`s Trust and the Children`s Plan.
The EYFS helps to promote the five positives outcomes for children. It outlines four main themes for the five positive outcomes:
A unique child
Positive relationship
Enabling environments
Leaning and development
