DIKW Model Of Nursing Informatics
I must say, that my understanding of nursing informatics has been transformed since this class started. Conversely, my initial expectations were related to mostly obtaining training in computer science but not so much in nursing and information science which as I learned are knit together into one field of the Nursing Informatics. Additionally, the DIKW model composed of Data, Informatics, Knowledge, and Wisdom has strongly impacted my nursing practice by providing a guide to the evidence-based approach while fully reflecting the nursing process and delineating every component. Moreover, it was quite enlightening to distinguish wisdom from knowledge and reflect on how we as professional get to the stage of rational reason. Furthermore, the
