Right now I rated myself as competent. I will become proficient by asking for help with the things I don 't know how to already accomplish. At my workplace we have "superusers" who are staff that have gone through extensive training on the informatics system and are a resource to other staff. I will ask my manager how I can become one of those superusers so I can become proficient myself and help my co-workers.

In the keeping current with nursing informatics trends, I would like to become proficient. I would say I 'm pretty close already. I will do this by attending all trainings and seminars offered for the informatics systems in use. I will also read and follow the directions in all emails pertaining to the informatics systems such as updates and downtimes.

In the hospital information systems application I would like to become a skilled user. I am currently a comfortable user. This is important for my career path because I hope to work in a hospital once I become an

The feedback sandwich is a well trusted and standard model of delivering feed back. The trainer should first ask learners for self assessment followed by trainers positive recognition of achievements and strengths on top. With areas of development or changes needed, in the middle, and finally positive motivation and back to strengths underneath. Feedback should be neither too extensive nor brief and if there are many areas of change a learner need to address, a maximum of only 3 should be given initially, so the learner is not overwhelmed. When receiving feed back learners feel venerable, feedbacks emotional affect should never be underestimated.…

For Aural, I scored a 9. I do prefer to listen to others as far as opinions and suggestions. For example, having a group project is not an easy task online. In my last class, there was an organized chat room where all students were able to verbally talk to each other via skype or telephone. It was a lot easier to get points through compared to email and text messaging. By verbally listening you can give your opinion right away and get quick feedback and ultimately getting the project done with every one agreeing to the final outcome. With 9 being a high score for Aural I don’t completely agree with the score. It is…

A positive learning environment are trust, open communication and shared learning experiences.Trainer is one who can create a positive learning environment, which will allow the students to feel comfortable, safe and engaged – something that all students deserve. I applied some factors that build a positive learning environment. Adult learners require the learning to be relevant, are highly motivated, need active involvement in the learning process, a variety of learning experiences, positive feedback, need to be recognized as individuals with unique experiences, to maintain their self-esteem. A positive learning environment requires the involvement of learners - to ask questions and feedback, encourage discussions, group and individual activities, group discussions, visual aids, role plays. The effective trainer helps to create the positive learning environment when using a variety of techniques for providing positive feedback. To provide positive feedback is to give verbal praise, to use positive responses during questioning, recognize appropriate skills. Be sure to treat the participants as individuals when using participant names, to involve all participants as often as possible, to treat participants with respect, to allow participants to share information with others, to maintain the self-esteem of learners with reinforcing practices and beliefs embodied in the activity, providing corrective feedback in an appropriate manner, providing training that adds to their sense of competence and self-esteem, recognizing participants accomplishments.…
