Another example is in the comedy movie “Our Idiot Brother” three sisters continually try to force their brother to grow up and build a life, but to their dismay he is stuck in his childish ways. He refuses to give up the way he so childishly sees the world all though throughout the movie,
his sister’s insult his way of thinking and lifestyle.
I believe this statement because of the way my father acts so childish, and not in a “oh, I’m a child at heart” type of way, but in a “I will react in the most irrational, immature way possible.” When my father found out that I was gay he reacted by disowning me, and allow I wish he would grow up and accept me, I know I can not force him too.
What does it take for a person to grow up? If we can not force them what must me do to show them that although being young is great, there are times that you need to be an adult.
