Darío Antonio Suro was a painter, art critic and Dominican diplomat who born and grew up in La Vega, Dominican Republic. Having been the nephew of a famous painter Enrique García-Godoy, he grew up around painting and began studying it under the influence of his uncle.
Dario Suro was very successful throughout his years as a painter, diplomat and art critic. He often combined his diplomatic work with his art, traveling to many countries, representing the Dominican Republic in various vital congresses and attending numerous shows and exhibits along the way.
