The competition is the initial driving force of the narrative, in a bid to excel and outperform the other; however, as the animation continues each character starts to appreciate the others attributes from a different perspective and they resolve to combine their talents and inevitably form a friendship. In this animation we see how the “motivation” of the character’s change and this helps to keep the story interesting as the “narrational action” has developed and leads to a strong character progression which in turn allows the audience to attach themselves to the protagonists.
