Signing the fire log book as per home fire regulations,
I then proceed to place my personal effects to the locker room provided,
Wash my hands thoroughly before going down to the residential floor ready for hand over.
After a detailed account of the residents we are told which residents are down for a bath and if any residents have scheduled appointments for the day, I then proceed to get my P.P.E. for my job in hand.
I walk my section and check on who is awake and who is still asleep, I proceed to get breakfast ready for the residents on the section I’m designated to; who have requested breakfast in their room for that morning
While residents are eating breakfast I ask each resident who are down for a bath if they would like one,
I then run a bath for the residents that do, I carefully check that the temp is at 38-40®c before allowing the resident in to the bath.

I assist with washing areas they can’t reach and encourage them to wash the areas they can, after they have finished in the bath I help dry and dress them which includes blow drying hair that has been washed.
If the resident has not had breakfast already I assist them to the dining room for breakfast, making sure they are seated correctly and also informing kitchen staff they are waiting.
I then check on other residents on my section taking away any breakfast trays that are finished with.
Then help each resident with washing and applying cream as directed if a resident requires it ,
Asking them what they would like to wear giving them a choice, helping them with hearing aids, teeth and glasses some needs assistance and some don’t.
When all residents are dressed on my section I go around and check the rooms making beds replacing towels and
