We should come together as colonists to overthrow Great Britain. They have treated us so unfairly and didn't even give us a spot in Parliament. A wise man once said, “All mankind... being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions.” This quote was stated by one of the great European philosophers, John Locke. He states that "all people are born equal", in other words, no one should be treated differently from each other, but the British were not treating us with any type of equality or respect. The British created unnecessary, and needless rules that limited our freedom, such as the Proclamation Line of 1763, the Tea Act, and The Sugar Act. In all, the …show more content…
This made us mad because we felt that we were paying for an issue that had nothing to do with us. We then decided to rebel against these horrid acts saying, "Taxation without representation" because even after raising our taxes they didn't give us a spot in Parliament. We should have a say on this act and revolt because we shouldn't be paying for the British's problem.
The Proclamation of 1763 was another act that the British forced on us. The British introduced this Proclamation to forbid the settlement beyond the Appalachian Mountains for the colonist. They don't even want us to walk on our own land. Why would we want a government like that? We should have the freedom to go anywhere we want because this is our land. They treat us like we are some kind of caged animals. We deserve better.
The British brought the Tea Act to tax us on our tea.The British company had a difficult time selling and receiving money for there tea. At first, this was okay with us but after we found out that the East India Company were received a money from our taxes we were angry. We as the colonist did not appreciate this and were mad about it because we were paying a company that will not benefit
