Dead Poets Society Journal Entry
I requested a custom order because I wanted to give my friend some bracelets made out of the Dead Poets Society script and movie poster for her birthday and Kimberly was able to create three lovely bracelets my friend liked so much and wore immediately! The beads with the quotes I requested were absolutely perfect as well as the movie poster ones, and the spacer beads' colors matched very nicely.
I will definitely buy again from Trashy Crafter, they make such cool and unique jewelry and I just can't wait to buy something for myself as well

Emily's iron- gray hair has chronological significance in the story. First, the hair belongs to Emily, who had sometime slept on the bed beside Homer Baron's dead body, near where it was found. This term “Iron-Gray” had only lied within passage 4 in paragraph 6 when the narrator describes changes in appearance of Emily: “During the next few years, it grew grayer and grayer until it attained an even pepper-and-salt iron- gray, when it ceased turning”(Faulkner, 4.6) this happened during the period of 6 or 7 years when she gave out china-painting lessons after Homer disappeared. Second, the phrase “Iron- gray hair” has connotations that can be applied to the story. The word: “Iron” could mean stubborn, or iron willed. Stubborn is definitely a describing word for Emily. The group of narrators describes a time when Emily came to pick up a bottle of Arsenic from the general store: “Why, of course”, the druggist said, “if…

was on the side of the building, it had two small windows with wooden shutters covering them, making the room quite cold. Soon after, Gaius was done talking and it wasn’t long until we were wishing Marcus vale and returning home. As we we’re walking back Gaius explained to me that the reason Marcus kept his apartment very sparse is because, as the building keeps catching fire, he can no longer afford to keep rebuying furniture. This will be my last diary entry before I return home tomorrow as I doubt I will have time to stop and write. I’ve had such an incredible time here experiencing urban life, although I have to admit, I miss my home even more… I can’t wait to get back!…

It had been a few days since the occurrence of the incident on June 10th. In these few days after the event, I feel both physically tormented and emotionally distressed. It might have been the shock of the event that I unconsciously undermined the physical impact that the fall, tumble and rolling has on my body. The following morning after the incident, purple bruises surfaced in the left knee area, muscle pain and soreness on my left arm and both legs that weren't visible nor noticeable that night. In addition, I feel that I am emotionally traumatized by that night's incident. I can sense that I am on the brink of a mental breakdown. The things that I thought I could have neglect and the negative feelings that I…

In chapters four through seven, Nathaniel Hawthorne uses a plethora of rhetorical strategies to convey his purpose of emphasizing the character’s opinions and also to describe what is taking place in the particular chapter. In chapter four, there are many times when Hawthorne uses parallelism to emphasize the character’s opinions. For instance on page 51, paragraph one, Hawthorne quotes Roger Chillingworth using parallelism, “…in the eyes of men and women, -in the eyes of him whom thou didst call thy husband, -in the eyes of yonder child!” To emphasize Roger’s opinion, Hawthorne uses the phrase, “in the eyes”, one after the other, so the reader can understand how he feels that it is an appropriate punishment for Hester to wear the ‘A’ for the whole world to see.…

It is the eighth week of my Composition Studies class. I am shocked that it is already the end of the sub-term. This course has passed quickly. I have learned so much about how to teach writing. During just these last two weeks, I have learned how about peer writing groups, teaching style, revision, and evaluating students’ work. I have also had the opportunity to read the writing of three students and evaluate that writing for an assignment. Through the reading, videos, and assignments, I feel that I have learned quite a bit about how the teaching of writing these past two weeks.…
