In high school, the opportunity to do things such as drugs, or alcohol presented itself. The way I was raised and with my beliefs in the LDS religion I would never do something like that. Therefore, I always thought, “If I drink or smoke, how will I will be able to teach my kids not to do so?” I do not want my kids saying to me,” Dad, since you did that stuff, why can’t I?” Being an example is so important these days and I believe that the world around us is becoming a very wicked place. I tried helping him and explain to him that wickedness never was happiness but it was hard for him to understand. While I was serving my LDS Mission this accident took place. He went on vacation with 3 buddies to a friend’s birthday party. That night he himself was not intoxicated but he put himself in a situation in which those around him were drinking. He decided not to participate and went out to the car to sleep. While sleeping, his buddies came back, intoxicated, and decided they would go home that night instead of waiting until the next
