Declamation Speech 2
Mr. President, I stand here as an ambassador of Islam, a believer in Islam and a follower of Islam, and I begin in the name of Almighty Allah who introduces Himself as a God mercy and benevolence.
Mr. President, the literal meaning of the word Islam is “Peace“.

But since the 9/11 attacks the perception of the meaning of Islam has undergone a radical transition from peace to something more hideous. terrorism, war, suicide and bloodshed.
Which, Mr. President I as a Muslim cannot tolerate anymore.
So, let me plead my case and refute all the baseless assumptions, misinterpretations and misquotations put forward by the west as an argument.
So first of all I would like to mention few of them…
They say Islam was spread only by the power of sword…
They also question the concept of jihad and blames Islam for each and every terrorist activity in the world.
And They question the way Muslims treat their women and claims it to be oppressive and intolerant.

Mr. President I would like to disagree . because Forcible conversion to Islam has been forbidden by Allah Almighty.
I would give you an example of Hazrat umer *(R.A) Or (May Allah be pleased with him)* who invited his slave to embrace Islam by reciting the verses of Holy Quran. As Allah (SWT) says “Let there be no compulsion in the religion”.
And the whole world has already witnessed the peaceful and prosper Islamic state of Medina in which non-believers were living as happily as the Muslims. Yes Mr. President this is Islam.
And when they question the concept of jihad:
I would like to ask that if any of the defamers of the religion knows that jihad literally means “the spiritual struggle against evil” and it not to be done by sword only but can also be waged in heart.
And those who reserves Islam as the sole cause of every terrorist act in the world even when Muslims themselves are the victims.
Either are ignorant or they do not know that Allah (swt) says in the Holy Quran:
That :
If anyone kills a person it would be

After the recent events around the world, such as the numerous terrorist attacks and threatening natural disasters, individuals are left to cling to their religious beliefs for comfort and encouragement to press on. Some of these events have encouraged division between cultures, since many of the terrorist attacks are done in the name of their god. After the 2001 attack on the twin towers in New York, and the Pentagon, many people were leery of individuals who valued their Muslim beliefs. In fact, many Muslim worshippers were criticized and accused of having terrorist ties, when, in fact, the people who were actually responsible for the attack were extremists and radicals who took their religious beliefs and mixed them with their own demented thoughts. The truth of the matter is the act carried out that day does not effectively represent the beliefs of the common Muslim person. The rebuilding efforts are in full force today, with many people who have moved on and welcomed the start of their new life. It seems fitting that, in light of our…

Likely it is because Muslims have been responsible for two of the most prominent terrorist attacks in the past century, including 9/11 in the USA and the November 13 attacks in Paris. There is a clear link between 9/11 and Islam since the group that committed the attack was named “Al-Qaeda,” a self-proclaimed “Islamic” extremist group. I personally know three students in my class in New Jersey who lost a parent during this attack. I remember the videos online of the attack, still evoking strong emotion. It was a day that no American will ever forget. It was also the day where many began to accuse Islam, rather than Islamic extremists, for these attacks. Most of the accusers have never read the Quran, some did not even know where the Middle…

The basic meaning of the word Islam means submission or surrender. Like in the Latin writing methods, in Arabic the meanings of words are derived from a root word; in this particular definition, the word Islam is derived from the word salam, which means peace and or safety. In other words, the meaning of the word Islam means peaceful and submissive in the path of…

To those outside of the Islamic faith many facts of Islam are a mystery. Within the last decade the religion of Islam has received bad publicity due to the actions of terrorists and Muslim extremists groups. Their actions have created a popular belief that Islam is a cult and Muslim people are hate filled militants that are mainly from one region. The history and practice of Islam is based from a set of beliefs that focus on good will and peace and belief in one God. Muslims all around the world follow these original beliefs however variations in Islam practice and beliefs can also be found depending on region. Islam,…

AL Qaeda is defined as a broad-based militant Islamist organization, and is considered to be- by the majority of society- the primary culprit of the 9/11 terror attacks. By inspecting Al Qaedas’ philosophy at its roots, its writings, and development, we can conclude that their approach can only be pronounced as destructive, not constructive. Al Qaeda interprets the Quran falsely, basing their ideology on principals such as the war they feel all Muslims must wage with ‘others’, regardless of whether the ‘others’ are fighters or peaceful civilians. Verse 16:82 of the Quran conveys the concept of tolerance and peace, stating: “But if they turn away from you, your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message”. This portrays the way in which Al Qaeda manipulates the Quran to justify their actions of terror- regarding their ‘duty’ as an act of violence rather than peace.…

One of the big strengths of Islam, of which I was previously unaware, is that it can be a religion of peace. Even while he was something of a religious zealot, the author was appalled at the horror of the 9/11 attacks on the United States, and could not see how these fit into his Muslim religion. He was not only appalled at the lives lost, but also at the claim that these acts were done for Allah. This is a feeling we share when, for example, a right-wing Christian shoots up a church or a movie theater and claims they did so for God. I believe that most religions encourage a culture of peace and harmony. But with our selfish natures, some people corrupt the message and use out-of-context…

In Graeme Wood’s “What ISIS Really Wants” (The Atlantic, 2015), Wood reports that the true meaning and ideology of the Islamic State (ISIS) can be the key in ultimate destruction of the ISIS. He states that by being ignorant the United States made a critical error in understanding what exactly ISIS is, what the territory means for them, and also how the threat can be prevented by understanding the Islamic beliefs.…

society that Congress had to lash out on the issue. In the daily lives of Muslims, they are vulnerable to be insulted and tagged as “terrorists.” The people belonging to Islamic culture are in some cases, abused not just emotionally but physically, due to their religion. The fuel for all this racism erupted from a bombing only performed by a few radical Muslims but the conservatives, the whole, also receive hate. American government has perceived Islam as an evil religion that has infected our country. As Muslims’ reputation became worse, so did their lives. It became harder for them to function in a society where they are constantly put down. Racism has been apparent in their day-to-day lives and slurs begin to become accepted to use. From time to time, I find “anti-Muslim” conversation in discussions with friends, colleagues and even family, verbal, blogs, emails, etc.; I find what I hear inconsistent with both facts, as well as with Christianity as I understand it. There are clear differences between Islam and Christianity, but there are so many…too many…misconceptions and falsehoods that percolate and circulate even down to these discussions group levels, I feel compelled to address them at this time. My goal is to either eliminate these discussions completely or to correct any false statements with facts, as well as promote a little peace in our communities and the world. Daniel Patrick Moynihan eloquently put it: “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.”…
