The Roman Empire was one of the greatest empires ever. The empire was very strong for the most part. The Roman empire fell because of internal problems in the the society and government. It didn’t fall drastically: it slowly lost power. The Roman Empire was huge, so the government had a lot of responsibility. The government even divided Rome into separate parts to be governed by more than one person. At one time the Roman Empire was divided into four parts with four different emperors. He would perform miracles and teach the Gospel around Galilee. The Jews didn’t like him much they would always plot against him: trying to get him to sin or speak against Caesar. Jesus Christ healed a man on the Sabbath day. That made the Pharisees that conspired against him angry. They wanted to kill him. Jesus was betrayed by his own follower Judas; who led the officials to Jesus in Gethsemane. The officials arrested him and sent him to trial. There were five different trials before Jesus was sentenced to be crucified. They official crucified him and three days later he ressurected. Jesus Christ stayed on earth with his disciples for forty more days; then he ascended to heaven. The disciples were sent the Holy Spirit and they continued to teach other about Jesus. Christianity soon spread around Rome. Emperors only tolerated Christians until the time of Nero. He persecuted Christians for no reason. Soon Constantine was emperor and was converted to Christianity so Christianity was declared a legal religion and persecutions stopped. Fifty years later another emperor came along named Julian tried to bring persecution back but it didn’t work. The more Christians were persecuted the more the religion multiplied. People saw how brave Christians were to still stand for what they believe in no matter what. This made more people want to convert to Christianity. The Roman Empire finally accepted
