While the Veteran went up in flames many sailors ran to the lifeboats or jumped ship then it finally blew. With the Benson fired at the submarine along with the other four ships. Soon they saw an explosion in the water. The Task Force stayed there while the freezing, soaking survivors climbed aboard. High Admiral Forest had been the first to jump ship. He heard the life scaring sound of a torpedo, grabbed his papers, put them in a waterproof case, ran onto the deck yelling abandon ship, and jumped overboard. The city had a two-thousand-man militia, a three-thousand-man regular Emerstarian Army, and the 4th Artillery and Tank Battalion. "Aaron over here, what's in this bush." Corporal Erwin Greene said while unmounting his horse carrying a rifle. Private Aaron Thompson rode over there getting a pistol out while the rest of the patrol went over to a river. Then seconds later Aaron was shot off his horse. Greene kicked the bush and shot it, a West Vanian Sniper, where there was one there was more. He called the Militia's medical team to tend to Aaron and rode away. When he met up with the rest smoke was rising in the distance. Then a Militia Member ran up saying, "We just received a message from Dansburg, the Westerns are attacking and the two-thousand-man can't take it!" He was still catching his breath. Major Emery Norse, the person in charge of forces in Richards County, Vanai ordered for one-thousand men from the Militia go to help defend Dansburg. Hopefully, the Dansburg Militia hadn't been defeated yet. Sergeant Mike Stephens would lead the Battalion. This force had one Cruiser, the ENS. Iron; two Battleships, the ENS. Protector and the ENS. Cerne`; and a Destroyer, the ENS. Scott for fighting than two transports, the ENS. Brigade and the E.S. Neutral for transporting the few Howitzers, small Artillery, and soldiers. High Admiral Harrison Cannon was in charge of the Battle Force and Major Thomas Ventier was in charge of the ground troops.
