What do you think of when you hear the word hero? The dictionary states that the word hero means a person who, in the opinion of others, has special achievements, abilities, or personal qualities and is regarded as a role model or ideal. A hero is someone that is protective, does the right thing even when there is no one watching, and is always selfless.
A hero is someone that is protective. For example whenever my father would hear me talk about something stupid i would want to do or someone i wanted to beat up he would tell me that it wouldn't be worth it. He would explain to me why it wasn't worth it and convince me that letting certain thing go is a lot better and it helps you stay out of trouble.
Heros also do the right thing
even when nobody's watching. For example my father got a call from my brother saying he got into a car wreck and totaled his truck. The incident wasn't my brothers fault but he was a permitted driver so he got the ticket. My brother asked my dad could you lie and say you were here with me in the truck my dad told him no you have to take responsibility for your own actions.
Another characteristic of a hero is selfless. For example my father and i went out to eat at coyote canyon and there was a family in the parking lot that couldn't get their car to start so before we pulled out of the parking lot my dad stopped by where they were broke down and got out and fixed their car without even expecting anything in return as my dad started walking back to his car the father of that family stopped him and gave him some money he didn't want to take it but the man encysted so my dad said thank you and we left. A hero is someone that is protective, does the right thing even when no one is watching and is always selfless. My father was my hero because he never lied for us because lying was wrong. He never told us to do something that we would regret he told us it wasn't worth it and to help other when they need it without expecting anything in return.
