Definition Essay: What Is A True Friendship?
“It’s not about who was the longest to stay , it’s about who came and never left ; that is my definition of a true friendship. In other words , the word “best friend” is the meaning of true friendship. Everyone thinks your best friend is the one who has been with you since both were baby’s , but its not. A true friendship is with someone you met and got along ever ever since. Someone who even after a big fight still came back because he or she couldn’t handle not being with you. Someone who won’t say your secrets and who got to know you very well in so little time , and that’s how you maintain a strong friendship. For example , i had my own friend who grew up with me and i thought she was my best friend , and the truest friendship

The elusive and manipulative Sirens of Homer's Odyssey are the focus of Margaret Atwood's poem "Siren Song", though the latter is told instead from the Siren's point of view. Through this new point of view, one is able to compare the portrayals of Sirens based on Odysseus' account as well as a Siren's herself. Additionally, the feigned blasé tone of Atwood's poem adds a comical element that humanizes a being viewed only as a monster in the Odyssey.…

For most people, it is really hard to find someone who is completely honest, loyal, and a positive influence on your life, but there’s always a best friend for someone. Almost everyone has one and almost everyone is one. For me, I personally do not have a best friend. I stay to myself a lot and I’m not open about everything, it’s also hard to gain a new best friend if all of your old friends went off to college. A best friend is someone who is very generous, they’re there to lend you money when you run out, be your shoulder to cry on, and go out of their way if they really care about you. A best friend can be someone whom you’ve known since childhood but can also be someone that you’ve just met, and you both just click.…

I chose the term friendship but contemplated with choosing the term addiction from the list, in my opinion friendship is much harder to define. I believe everyone has their own version of what friendship is, thus the reason why it is so hard to define. The word “friend” and the suffix “-ship” makes up the word friendship. By definition “friend” means “a person whom you share a bond of mutual affection for”, and “-ship” is just a suffix for nouns. Once added together to create “friendship”, the definition changes to “the state of being a friend” or “a friendly relation or intimacy”.…
