Definition Essay: What Is True Friendship?
What is friendship? Friendship could never be understood by simply reading its definition from any resources. The meaning of friendship will not be gained by anyone until it has been experienced. Friendship is a word we are all familiar with and it has a different meaning to everyone. Some people take friendship seriously, and some people take it lightly, one friend after another. As you go through life, you will meet a variety of people and will build relationships with them. Friends often come and go, but best friends always stay. So, it is very important for you to recognize all the friends you have because true friends are hard to find. In other words, to have true friends, you must be a real friend. The most significant element of a long lasting friendship is trust. Through trust, true friends tend to share their feelings, opinions and secrets with one another without the fear of being betrayed. If you do not feel that your friends are loyal to you, what is the whole point of spending time or being friends with them? Trust in yourself before you try to trust in someone else. If you can not trust yourself then there is no way you can anyone else. Trust is the foundation for friendship. It takes years to build, seconds to destroy. You and your friends should be able to share almost everything with each other. Little kids share their toys, and candies. Elders share their stories, joys, sorrows, and opinion. Not only sharing thoughts, best friends also share things such as clothes, accessories, and food. You should not hesitate or have second thoughts about sharing those things. Because after all, sharing is caring. If you share a laughter, it is friendship; if you share a problem, it is still friendship, and among all if you share all together, it will be the best friendship
