Throughout history, there have been an incalculable number of heroes; that can be through reality or fictitious. From viewing the clips from this assignments and reading various articles regarding heroism, there are multiple aspects that determine exactly what a hero should be. In regards to the Spiderman video, Aunt May explains that a hero is someone that is courageous, self-sacrificing, and sets examples for others. Likewise, an article I read describes a hero as someone who is courageous, selfless, humble, patient, and caring. In my opinion, a hero is an individual who cares more about the life of others than themselves; they would do anything in their power to protect others as well as the world around them.…

Heroism can only truly be defined subjectively. Every single one of us can discover courageous qualities within any individual: it all depends on which endeavors a person finds heroic. In my opinion, a hero is someone who displays bravery or self sacrifice in the face of misfortune. They are not afraid to intervene and rectify what they see is wrong, despite the situation. Challenges may be confronted along the way, but a hero will arrive stronger than before. They will finish by attempting to or fully producing a positive impact on society. My personal role model is Elizabeth Cady Stanton, a leader of the women’s rights movement during the 19th century. She is someone who manifested all of these heroic traits by combatting the sexist ideas people had during this era. Throughout the course of her life, she shattered the expectations…

The official definition for a hero is a person, typically a man who is admired or idealized for courage. Which I agree, a hero is someone who has tons of courage and can make anyone feel safe. I would say a trustworthy man/woman adds to the characteristics of a hero. A hero is also a protector of everyone around. A hero is basically an admired man or woman who tries everything in their power to do anything they can for someone.…

What is a hero? Many people have different definitions of what a hero can be for example Beowulf. In the story Beowulf, Beowulf the hero is described as a great fighter and a man of tremendous strength. In my opinion a hero is not what the story describes a hero as. my definition of a hero is a good person who does something nice or saves somebody. A hero can also be someone you look up too. The Hollywood's definition of a hero is way different than my definition of a hero their definition of a hero is somebody who saves lives, has supernatural powers and are always protagonist in the stories. Some traits a hero has to make him a hero are they are nice, brave, have powers, caring and are patient. My definition and Hollywood's definition of…

One kind of hero that exists all over the world is the everyday hero. The person that I consider my everyday hero is my mother. The qualities that make her my hero are her way of doing things, and also how she sacrifices herself for me. For example, she is responsible and shows her stronger side in front of us when we are facing difficult times. Also she is so lovely that almost everyone likes her when they meet her. She always says to me that her duties are to look after me but at the same time to give me the freedom to make mistakes and find bright sides of my mistakes. The way that she influences me is that I see that sometimes she leaves what she is doing for her to take care of me. Even though many people argue that heroes are not real, I will disagree with them because I believe that everybody has a hero who protects them and looks after them.…

When I first heard about it, all I could think about was how much work it would require. I learned that there are many definitions of a hero and that not all heroes serve on the front lines. I also learned valuable presentation and speaking skills. Preparing for the presentation made me better at speaking to a group of people, and the next time I have to do a presentation, I will not be so nervous. I also learned about what it means to be heroic. Before this project, my idea of a hero was someone who served on the front lines in wars, but now I see that not all heroes do that. Our veteran, Joe Souza, didn’t see any combat during the time of his service, but I still believe he is a hero. He served his country by joining the armed forces, and most people wouldn’t be willing to do that. This taught me that heroes do things that other people can’t and won’t do. They can be the person who helps everybody out, volunteers in their community, or goes out of their way to make someone happy. There are many heroes in our lives, such as teachers or nurses. Even though they aren’t in danger, they are still heroic because they live to help other people. Joe is a hero because he did something not everyone could do. When he served, he was protecting America, even if he never used a gun. Above all, this project taught me that heroes don’t have to be in danger or do…
