Dehumanization Is Very Evident In Today
Dehumanization is very evident in today’s world. There is clear evidence on the news, radio and even in movies. Documentaries are made also today that does focus on the war against addiction, murder, suicide and many other dehumanization acts toward mankind.
Alcohol addiction is one of the world’s worse dehumanization acts, and this is something that an individual does to his/her self. Addiction of itself can be called the failure of self-control (Johnson, R. A., Lukens, J. M., Kole, J. W., & Sisti, D. A. 2015). Most people are aware that they have an alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse is caused by irrational drinking (OON JUNG, C., & JANG-HAN, L. 2015). Studies show that addiction is recognized as a brain disease that is caused from exposure to drugs, environmental, social and economic factors (Volkow, N. D., & Li, T. 2005). A good way that can be solid in preventing an addiction such as alcohol is to be strong from the very beginning and say no, do not try to impress peers, even as tempting as the bottle may be, choose the right friends, or even hang out with people who share the same ideas as you have.
The video image should consist of a man in a dark cold gray room and show examples of how the effects of alcohol has destroyed his life. The cause of addiction should pop up on the screen for the audience to read. The images of different alcohol warnings, and the causes should also pop up on the screen before and after the pop up of the definition to addiction. The liquor bottles, beer bottles, and even mason jars should be shown in the back drop of the room to display that this man, a rather young man, has willingly drank these liquors. The room should just be the man on a bar stool, with the dark grey-green color walls and a black door that states doomed, and a white door that states help. Toward the end of the commercial the man should say only “I need help” and walk to the white door that has help written through, and there should be where our screen

Addicts live in a world full of self-hatred and shame, and a multitude of these individuals do not want anyone to know the truth about their pain. Our textbook states that “ninety-five percent of untreated alcoholics die of alcoholism an average of 26 years early even if their death certificate might read they died of heart disease, cancer, or something else to protect the family, but the real reason they died is due to addiction” (Perkinson, 2012, p. 2). The consumption of alcohol is consumed by so many individuals, both male and females, young and old, on a daily basis. I 've often heard the term "women can 't hold their liquor." Often, they are not convinced of the presence of the problem or the need to change. Psychological science has made significant progress exploring the role of motivation in recovery from substance abuse and dependence over the past 20 years. Although recovery is complicated by physiological and psychological dependence the intentions and motivation of the abuser are a critical part of this process. Motivation for change plays an important part in the process of recognizing the need for change, seeking treatment, and achieving successful sustained change. Behavior change occurs, for example, when individuals quit…

Although many may not realize it, there is still human slavery today that rears its ugly head in such ways as child labor, “enforced prostitution, and state sponsored forced labor” (Datzberger, 2015). Slavery today is actually at an all time high. We search for labels on fair trade in hopes that we are not supporting any kind of human slavery; however, this is not always the case. Children, rather than being educated, are being used to work the fields where much of our coffee is grown as well as to make other products and be used in child pornography. Women are forced into prostitution while people justify the need for such ladies as well as the stating facts such as they are not women; they are possessions. And human trafficking is seen in “118 different countries” resulting in low cost labors for “restaurants, fisheries, brothels, farms, and homes” (Datzberger, 2015).…
