What do you see as Delta’s particular strengths?
"Culture/people, consistency, accountability, our financial health, if you will, and our risk taking. In terms of culture, our people are Delta. I know it's cliché and we say it a lot, but everything we do is because of the people we have. The people are the productivity that we have. Our financial success is because of our people. Our customer service, which drives our financial success. Our operational reliability. Everything we are as an airline is because of our people. It's kind of the linchpin to our whole organization. Consistency is in terms of both what we provide our customers and then ultimately what we provide our investors and the investor community from a financial perspective. You've got so many new employees who haven't been here over the years and haven't been through bad times, and at times we tend to get complacent and not continue to just drive hard. That's one. At times we are a bit too bureaucratic in our decision making, and we don't tend to make timely decisions on items. You could also argue at times, we stretch ourselves a little thin on projects. Some would argue that that's a positive because we're constantly just pushing the edges, but at times that could be a weakness too if you've got too many irons in the fire, if you will."
