One of Jeter’s mottos is “practice—but don’t forget to have fun.” Needless to say, an incredible amount of dedication and commitment was required for Jeter to be where he now is today. However, if you simply don’t have fun with what you are doing, you are setting yourself up for failure. The final goal shouldn’t be to become rich or famous, but to carve out a career in which you cherish (Boitnott para 5).
